What’s your summer-beauty philosophy? Do you stock your regimen with items trending on TikTok, handpicked by your go-to influencers and celebrities? Do you revisit last year’s lineup and rely on the tried-and-true classics? An “if it ain’t broke, don’t fix it” philosophy never steered you wrong.

Or perhaps you meld the two philosophies together, which is our approach. What makes a well-stacked routine is a combination of old, new, and old made new: products that consider the latest technologies, ingredient innovations, and general trend cycles and make achieving the look du jour a simple feat.

But before we send you over to your favorite retailer with our warm-weather recommendations, we thought we’d go straight to the source to get the inside scoop on what our merchandising and director friends deem bestsellers in the making. Taking cues from customer interest, viral trends, and breakthrough new arrivals, retail experts have developed a keen eye for what’ll be the next big thing. What will resonate most in summer 2025? Here is what our experts predict will be this season’s top-selling beauty products; shop them before they inevitably sell out.

In This Story

Bluemercury

“The Bluemercury customer is always interested in looking and feeling their best,” Leigh Quilhot, managing director of merchandising at Bluemercury, tells Vogue. “They are knowledgeable about ingredients and are looking for clinically proven results.” And this summer they’re gravitating toward floral and fruity scents, soft feminine colors, peptide serums, and natural body care by way of recent debuts by Parfums de Marly, SkinCeuticals, Oribe, and Victoria Beckham.

The Best-Seller Predictions:

SkinCeuticals

P-Tiox

“Along with the overall trend of topical peptides, SkinCeuticals’ P-Tiox serum is still going strong since its big launch last summer,” says Quilhot. “This item has since been dubbed the closest thing to liquid Botox by dermatologists due to its ingredient list containing neuropeptides that function similarly to Botox by relaxing the facial muscles and thus preventing the development of wrinkles.”

Parfums de Marly

Valaya Exclusif Parfum

Quilhot cites Valaya Exclusif as a favorite in Parfums de Marly’s collection. “Valaya Exclusif EDP has bottom notes of vanilla, whereas Valaya EDP does not. Vanilla and gourmand notes are trending, so a new Valaya with added notes of vanilla is sure to be desired.”

Evolvetogether

Havana Deodorant

“Mindful ingredients are trending in body as consumers are opting for nontoxic and natural formulas as much as possible. Evolvetogether’s 100% natural deodorant defies the common perception that natural deodorants don’t work, and we expect this to be a major outbreak trend in the spring/summer. This deodorant’s beautiful fragrance is heat activated, perfect for the warm months ahead.”

Sisley Paris

Phyto-Lip Balm

“We are seeing the largest growth coming from tinted lip balm and tinted lip oil,” Quilhot says, listing Sisley Paris’s Phyto-Lip Balm as one to know. Available in three shades—each enriched with hyaluronic acid, shea butter, and vitamin E—this delivers optimal hydration with a wash of fresh color.

Chantecaille

Les Papillons Nymph Eye Trio

“Eye shadow sales have been strong across all formulations (powder, stick, cream, and liquid), but powder shadow has had the most growth,” Quilhot details, citing this Chantecaille palette as one to buy. “Our customer sees value in color sets as they begin to travel.”

Jo Malone

Nectarine Blossom and Honey Cologne

Another category Quilhot sees gaining momentum is woody and fruity fragrances, like this Jo Malone London that smells like cassis, acacia honey, and peach for a delectable crisp yet sweet scent good enough to eat.

Oribe

Mirror Rinse Glass Hair Treatment

“We have seen the glass-hair trend really take off and dominate in the industry right now,” Quilhot says, as consumers are looking for an at-home shine treatment. “Glass-hair products are formulated with proteins that help lock in hydration and moisture, and this gives a healthy outer glow to the hair. Brand innovation in this space ranges from shampoo and conditioners to masks and styling products. In support of this trend, we have launched Oribe’s Mirror Rinse Glass Hair Treatment.”

Victoria Beckham Beauty

Buffer Brush

“Victoria Beckham’s new collection of makeup brushes is absolutely stunning. They were inspired by treasured calligraphy tools, and each brush features a unique walnut handle with distinctive grain. Specialized synthetic bristles mimic traditional natural fibers for exquisite pickup and application of creams and powders.”

Nordstrom

“When spring and summer arrive, the layers come off, not just in clothes but in makeup too,” Nordstrom’s beauty director, Autumne West, spills. “We may opt for that tinted moisturizer versus a foundation plus moisturizer. What changes over the years are the trends, but seasons of change are constant.” Right now she’s paying particular interest to the lip and blush spaces that she says “just won’t stop” innovating, alongside vanilla scents that pair nicely with fresh berry notes to add dimension to the summertime classic.

The Best-Seller Predictions:

YSL Beauty

Loveshine Plumping Lip Oil Gloss

“Lips that shine but don’t drip: Shiny balms/glosses give hydration, fullness, and a pop of color. These will be a bag essential to carry this summer.”

The Outset

Lip Oasis Glossy Treatment

West cites The Outset’s lip treatment as a summer 2025 bestseller. The formula lends its hydrating and plumping benefits via peptides, hyaluronic acid, and squalane for a cushiony, never-sticky shine.

Chanel

Chance Eau Splendide Eau de Parfum

West stands by Chanel’s latest fragrance as a top contender for summer. Chance Eau Splendide, crafted by perfumer Olivier Polge, is a dazzling wonder via crisp, floral, and fruity notes of raspberry accord, rose, violet, cedar, and musk.

Jo Malone

Sakura Cherry Blossom Cologne

Cherry-blossom lovers will adore this cologne from Jo Malone London. It pairs the sakura blooms with bergamot and rosewood for a delightful floral that lingers delicately on skin.

Westman Atelier

Baby Cheeks Powder Blush Duo

“Cheeks are still the It girl of summer! A pop of color on the cheeks blended out and up for a bright look is a must-try this season. Have fun with liquid and powder blushes that melt into skin, and don’t be afraid of color here.”

MAC Cosmetics

Strobe Beam Liquid Blush

For a glowing blush, look no further than MAC’s new Strobe Beam, which utilizes light-bending technology to deliver sheer pigment perfect for luminizing, underpainting, or contouring.

Phlur

Strawberry Letter Eau de Parfum

“Vanilla is still trending, but now you can make it summer-ready by adding or wearing scents with fresh berries for a sweet summer twist,” West says. To do so, consider Phlur’s Strawberry Letter, which leans on Gariguette strawberry, cassis leaf, apple blossom, and earthy wood notes.

YSL Beauty

Make Me Blush Bold Blurring Powder Blush

“The skinification of makeup continues to wow. Hyaluronic is big in skin care, but now it’s in your favorite powders, too, like YSL blush.”

Dermstore

At Dermstore, skin tech leads the charge for summer bestsellers. “From LED masks to sculpting tools and next-generation laser technology, these innovations are redefining at-home skin care, which is no longer niche, it’s essential, and our customers are fully here for it,” details Billie Faricy-Hyett, the chief buying officer of THG Beauty. “With growing consumer confidence in treatments like LED light therapy and microcurrent stimulation, beauty routines are becoming smarter, more targeted, and deeply results driven.” Cosmetic formulas are getting more intelligent too; the retailer is seeing lip treatments and topicals that mimic in-office results rise to the forefront, alongside skin-care-makeup hybrids that fuse two categories into one. “People are busy and are looking for maximum results with minimum steps,” says Faricy-Hyett.

The Best-Seller Predictions:

Shark

CryoGlow LED Face Mask

“We’re witnessing a remarkable surge in demand for high-performance beauty tools, a testament to how consumers are prioritizing efficacy and innovation, with sales of skin technology devices up more than 30% year to date,” Faricy-Hyett says. Among such in-demand devices is Shark’s new mask, which pairs an LED with undereye cooling to depuff and illuminate skin.

Lyma Laser Starter Kit

Lyma uses a more powerful solution than LED: a low-level laser (500mW power at the 808nm wavelength) that goes deep beneath the skin surface to improve the look of wrinkles, redness, and dark spots with consistent use.

Bioeffect

EGF Power Serum

“Growth factors work by sending signals to your skin cells to kick-start collagen and elastin production. They mimic the body’s natural healing process, telling cells to regenerate, repair damage, and strengthen the skin barrier. The result? Firmer, smoother, more radiant skin that acts like it’s on rewind!”

RescueMD

Restorative Lip Treatment

“Lip care has become a powerful entry point for consumers discovering new brands, delivering results-driven lip formulas that go far beyond gloss. Nourishing treatments with a hint of tint, for example, merge skin-care benefits with a touch of color for that functional two-in-one effect.”

Erborian

CC Cream

“The Erborian CC cream with SPF 25 provides visible results on complexion evenness and radiance,” Faricy-Hyett says of this color-correcting tint that uses encapsulated pigments and centella asiatica to treat skin.

Philip B

B Weightless Conditioning Water

“[Philip B’s] leave-in conditioner that doubles as a hair scent is on the rise, and we love that our customers are getting maximum benefits from the products they use.”

By Terry

Mascara Terrybly Growth Booster

Faricy-Hyett cites ByTerry’s mascara as a summer must-have for its lash-thickening composition packed with hyaluronic acid, plant proteins, and collagen, which encourages length and volume.

Perricone MD

No Makeup Blush

“There is a blush renaissance, and more is more is more when it comes to blush this season,” Faricy-Hyett says. “Think a fresh-faced, sun-kissed glow, even sweeping it across the nose to re-create the look of a day at the beach but with zero sun damage.”

Moroccanoil

Hair and Body Fragrance Mist

“The Moroccanoil Hair & Body fragrance mist is addictive. Spicy with amber but also delicately floral, it has vitamin E to support hair moisture and a UV absorber to protect and preserve hair health.”

Dr. Whitney Bowe Beauty

Night Mode Restorative Sleep + Skin Capsules

“Our medical advisor, Dr. Bowe, believes that your skin’s health is reflective of many elements of your life. Strong nutrition and sleep, stress levels, et cetera, all play a significant part. We’re seeing a lot of multi-benefit supplements come into play that offer results in more than one way for total health reflected by great skin and hair.”

Sephora

Turning to Sephora, beauty director Melina Solares considers how creators and celebrities will influence this summer’s must-haves. “Social media continues to have a huge influence on consumer interest these days, especially with festival season upon us,” she says. “There is an abundance of celebrity beauty content flowing with each music festival, and everyone is eager to come up with the next new beauty trend.” From there, she points toward minimalist makeup, hair art, fragrance layering, and cold-cream cleansers as spaces to watch.

The Best-Seller Predictions:

Crown Affair

The Flexible Hold Finishing Hair Gel

“With less attention-grabbing makeup statements have come major hair statements. Hair art in all forms has been popping up. From forehead swirls to accessorized pull-backs, hair trends have been the real eye-catchers. The Crown Affair The Flexible Hold Finishing Hair Gel is your new best friend for achieving either of these styles.”

Dr. Idriss

Major Fade Dark Spot Starter Kit

“Hyperpigmentation has become an increasingly hot topic in the skin-care world. With so many products and treatments to choose from, it can be overwhelming to find the right solution. Dr. Idriss is a newer brand at Sephora that has been gaining popularity around this. Known for their Major Fade line, the brand is becoming a new go-to. I love the Major Fade Dark Spot Starter Kit for those who would like to get acquainted.”

Tower 28

SuperDew Shimmer-Free Highlight Balm

“I mentioned that a less-is-more makeup approach has been trending, and with that complexion is the star of the show. There is an increased focus on enhancing the skin without adding too much. A glossed effect using Tower 28’s Beauty SuperDew Shimmer-Free Highlight Balm creates luminosity without any pigment or pore-clogging
ingredients.”

Rare Beauty

Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil Stain

“Lip oils have been slowly making a major comeback as the lip category continues to be one of the most popular. Combine that with the lip-stain phenomenon that TikTok created, and you have the Rare Beauty Soft Pinch Tinted Lip Oil Stain, which I anticipate will trend this season for all of its innovative charm. The formula starts as a gel and transforms into an oil that doesn’t stick and leaves your lips tinted all day.”

Alpyn

Juneberry & Vitamin C Hydrating Cold Cream Cleanser

“Cold-cream cleansers have always had an outdated feel, but they are circling back. Almost every major beauty trend is cyclical, and this one is having a comeback with brands like Alpyn innovating modern-day cold-cream formulas. The new Juneberry & Vitamin C Hydrating Cold Cream Cleanser is not your grandma’s cold cream. It contains vitamin C to brighten the appearance of skin and juneberry to help the skin to appear soft and smooth.”

Kayali

Fleur Majesty Rose Royale 31 Eau de Parfum

“Fragrance content creators are creating their own trending scents through layering their favorites. This makes any fragrance combination feel like a custom scent that their followers can re-create. Brands like Kayali even list their founder-curated combinations for each new scent they launch. According to Mona Kattan, the brand’s founder, the new Fleur Majesty Rose Royal 34 layers beautifully with up to four other fragrances.”

Violet Grey

Summer’s key buys, according to Violet Code manager Tanner Riley, are all about investing in quality that simplifies your life long-term—i.e., products that enhance your daily ritual today and tomorrow. “Consumers, our community, continue to become more educated,” Riley says. “They are aware of what is innovative versus marketing. This is not a new trend but one that continues to grow and is top of mind as we add to our curation. We are seeing our customers increasingly interested and investing in in-office treatments and procedures, along with a focus on skin care to complement.” To suit, their top buys are as inventive as they come, from an innovative curly-hair detangler to an actually-sheer mineral sunscreen.

The Best-Seller Predictions:

Curl Queen

The Glove

“[Curl Queen’s glove] is a gentle option for detangling or applying product. I pair this with my Tangle Teezer for a harmless, quick wash.”

Lilis

Instant Peel

“It’s all in the name. This sensitive Korean body treatment allows for the smoothest skin without causing irritation.”

Habelo

The Power Pair: Activating Hand Serum + Treatment-Boosting Gloves

“New to Violet Grey, this hand-treatment-and-glove duo was an immediate favorite of our team. A hand serum that plumps without damaging coupled with an exclusive glove that increases efficacy plus protects you from the sun—a must-have.”

Dr. Loretta

Universal Glow Daily Defense Mineral Sunscreen Fluid SPF30

“Loretta Ciraldo is a godsend; she understands our skin and how to protect it. This is my ultimate SPF pick year after year.”

Crown Affair

The Clips

“My team has heard me talk about these clips since we launched two years ago. The double claw holds back my curls without causing any kinks.”

Room No. Roll-On Perfume Oil Extract

“A fragrance wardrobe staple. I love layering a rollerball with an EDP for enhanced, long-lasting coverage. Room No. complements so many other fragrances. I’m obsessed.”
